A hand-painted map mural for Ray White Woody Point
Sometimes, a real map just doesn’t say enough or look right. In business, you may want to show your interstate or overseas clients topographically positioned points of interest in your local area that will be relevant to them. Additionally, you’ll want a stylish vibe that enhances your corporate brand- right? Hand-painted map wall murals may be the secret!
Damien Misso was referred by Luke Howarth (MP for Petrie) to local artist, Sharron Tancred to create a mural for his Ray White franchise at Woody Point. Mr Misso’s new three-storey waterfront establishment resides next door to the Belvedere Hotel, near the Woody Point Jetty. It has an enviable view out onto the bay. Damien wanted a map of the Peninsular showing prospective buyers the fabulous coastal location and the recreational lifestyle of Woody Point, Clontarf, Redcliffe, Scarborough and Newport Waters.
In conversation with Sharron, Mr Misso shared his lifestyle icons including the Clontarf Pelicans, Redcliffe Markets, Scarborough Playground, Newport Marina and other delights.
Installed in just two days this hand-painted map wall murals painted in an energetic, modern style that Sharron uses a lot for corporate artworks. During the installation, Damien’s clientele stood and gaped at the colours and positive feeling the work brought into the office.
After the upgrade to the local Kippa-Ring train station, Damien invited Sharron back to make an addition to the map. A Queensland Rail train was added to the map to mark the train station. The beauty of a hand painted murals is its versatility when it comes to adding and altering elements of the design later on.
Damien said, “Sharron was very easy to work with and really helped to bring our concept to life. Highly recommended!’’
